Here’s a list of tallest mountain in the world. There are thousands mountains scraps our sky and some are many attempts to conquer those tallest mountain though it is dangerous to be climbed. In this post, we are going to see the 10 tallest mountain in the world completed with the height and the location. Let’s take a look at those tallest mountain:

10. Annapurna I (8,091 m/26,545 feet)

Annapurna I is the 10th tallest mountain and it is a family of Cho Oyu Mountain and it is spanning to Himalaya. It is standing 8,091 meters and it has prominence 2,984 meters . First successful attempt to conquer the mountain was in 1950.

9. Nanga Parbat (8,126 m/26,660 feet)

Naga Parbat is the 9th tallest mountain and it is part of Dhaulagiri Mountain and it stretches to Himalaya. It has prominence 4,608 meter and one who climbed the peak for the first time happened in 1953.

8. Manaslu (8,163 m/ 26,781 feet)

Manaslu is the 8th tallest mountain and it is stretching to Himalaya and has prominence about 3,092 meters. Manaslu is a member of Cho Oyu Mountain and one who reached the peak for the first time climbed the mountain in 1956.

7. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m/ 26,795 feet)

Dhaulagiri is 7th tallest mountain and it range until Himalaya with a prominence 3,357 meter . K2 Mountain is the parent mountain of Dhaulagiri and people conquered the mountain for the first time in 1960

6. Cho Oyu (8,188 m/26,864 feet)

People climbed the tallest mountain of Cho oyu for the first time successfully in 1954. It spans from Mahalangur to Himalaya and it has prominence 2,340 meters. Mount Everest is the parent mountain of Cho Oyu and it is the parent mountain of Manaslu and Anapurna 1

Makalu is the 5th tallest mountain and member of Lhotse and it ranges from mahalangur to Himalaya. It has prominence 2,386 meters and climbers had successfully reached the peak safely in 1955.

4. Lhotse (8,516m/ 27,940 feet)

Lhotse is the 4th tallest mountain and it ranges from Malangur to Himalaya and it has prominence 610 meters. Lhotse is a family of Mount Everest and climbers had conquered the peak of the mountain in 1956.

3. Kangchenjunga (8,586 m/ 28,169 feet)

Kangchenjunga is the 3rd mountain and it ranges to Himalaya Mountain and it has prominence 3,922 meters. Some conquered the mountain for the very first time around 1955. Same as other mountain on the list Kangchenjunga is also part of Mount Everest.

2. K2/Qogir or Godwin Austen (8,611 m/ 28,251 feet)

K2 is the 2nd tallest mountan and it ranges from Baltoro to Karakoram. It has prominence 4,017 meters and a part of Mount Everest Mountain. Climbers conquered the peak of K2 a year earlier than Kangchenjunga or on 1954

Mount Everest is tallest mountain in the world and it ranges from Mahalangur to Himalaya. It has prominence 8,848 meters and it is a mountain with the biggest prominence in the list. Climbers conquered the peak of the mountain firstly in 1953.
