Fragrance Sample Edition: Chloe Eau de Parfum

Hi ladies, in this Fragrance Sample Edition series, I will review some of the fragrance samples I have. I hope some of you will find it helpful. So let’s get started with Chloe Eau de Parfum.

Describe in three words?
Crisp, rosy, romantic

What is smells like?
Top Notes: Peony, Freesia, Litchi
Middle Notes: Rose, Lily of the Valley, Magnolia
Base Notes: Amber, Virginia Cedar

For me it just a perfect interpretation of modern rose perfume, youthful, fresh and clean, the first time I dab it on my skin, I get a sweet licthi mix with a lot of roses. It just beautiful. After a few hours I get a soapy and powdery smell mix with some woodsy scent, I believe it is the Virginia cedar.

What kind of woman would wear this perfume?
I  think this fragrance suitable for a wide age range of women. From feminine young  girls to ladylike mature mature women. I can even imagine my 5 years old niece smells like this. This perfume just smells soft and calming.

What kind of occasion suitable for this perfume?
I think this is perfect for a relax date with a new person, inoffensive for office or class, and  great to use before sleep.

How about the sillage and  longevity?
Sillage is strong and I can say this is one of the most long lasting perfumes I have ever tried. Most of my perfumes just fade after a while. But this one last on me for about  6-8 hours. Definitely outstanding in my experience.

Do I want a full size bottle?
Yes! Absolutely yes!

Collective Haul and Review: Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works, Caring Colours, Revlon, Maybelline

Hi vixen, long time no see, I've been really busy with work, finally I got my first real job! yay! So let's just jump to the review, shall we?

Victoria’s Secret Sexy Little Things Eau de Parfum
My boyfriend gave this to me as my second birthday gift, he’s so sweet right?  It has holographic pictures of Alessandra Ambrossio on the box. The bottle itself is adorable, perfect display on my vanity.

Top notes: osmanthus, apple, water lily
Middle notes: honeysuckle, jasmine, lotus
Base notes: iris, musk, cashmere woods

When I spray it, I can definitely smell the apple, after a while it develops to a more musky scent. I would describe Sexy Little Things as a fun, young, light fruity scent, perfect for spring and summer. Somehow I recall a resemblance between Sexy Little Things with Paris Hilton EDP and Ralph Lauren ‘Ralph’. So if you have one of those probably you don’t want to buy the others because they are quite similar.
Sillage is decent, longevity is ok, not suddenly disappears after five minutes, but not stays all day either. I say it lingers on me for about 2-3 hours, Overall I really enjoy this fragrance.

Revlon Lip Butter in ‘Strawberry Shortcake
Revlon lip butter is insanely popular in my country. I notice a lot of Indonesian beauty bloggers are in love with this product too. So to feed my lip butter craving, I got another color called ‘strawberry shortcake’, a sheer barbie pink that looks really girly on the tube. However on my yellow undertone skin (NC25) it doesn’t look right, it washes me out. But I love the formula of Revlon lip butter, so in the future, I will definitely try some other colors.

No flash
Maybelline Lip Smooth Color and Care in ‘Strawberry’
I bought this because at that time I forgot to bring my makeup bag, my lips were pale and dry so I bought this lippy. I must tell you that the pigmentation of this product is amazing! ‘strawberry’ is a lovely medium pink color, I think it suits me. Oh and did I tell you it smells yummy?

Revlon Colorstay Soft and Smooth in ‘Pink Indulgence’
It supposed to be my mom’s but I took it from her (sorry mom, it just so pretty, you too can take any makeup from my drawer). ‘Pink Indulgence’ is a pink lipstick with a slight purple undertone in it, gorgeous! Another plus is the scent, usually Revlon lipstick has a weird plastic smell, but this one has a sheer vanilla scent which I really like.

With Flash

Caring Colours Blemless Balm Cream Everlast
If you don’t like wearing foundation on daily basis then BB cream is the perfect choice for you. It covers imperfections and at the same time takes care of your skin. The Everlast from Caring Colours is containing hazel as astringent to conceal the appearance of big pores, plus cinnamon extract which function as oil sebum regulator, suitable for oily skin. The texture itself is light and creamy. Do not afraid with the color, it is going to match every skin tone, it blends into your skin easily.

Caring Colours Blemless Balm Cream Fair White
From the name, ‘Fair White’ supposes to whiten your complexion, I notice when I put it on, my skin becoming brighter and fresher. Texture wise, it is drier and thicker than the Everlast. Price for both products are affordable. Overall I really do enjoy using both of the Caring Colurs Blemless Balm Creams.

Bath and Body Works ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’ Body Lotion
Because my ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’ body spray doesn’t last really long, I bought the matching lotion for layering purpose. I believe I have the old packaging, the new one doesn’t look like this. But nonetheless this lotion smells really good! You have to try it by yourself. The texture is quite creamy but absorb really well. Not oily and leaves your skin silky smooth.

Victoria’s Secret ‘Sheer Love’ Ultra-Moisturizing Hand and Body Cream
Again, I purchased this for layering purpose, my ‘Sheer Love’ body spray doesn’t really linger on me. Texture wise this cream is quite thick and creamy, but like the ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’ it absorbs really well and not oily.

Victoria’s Secret Sheer Love Fragrance Mist

Hi Vixen, this time I will review my new body spray from Victoria’s Secret Fantasies line called Sheer Love. I believe Sheer Love was launched to the market in 2011 (correct me if I’m wrong). It has a fresh notes of white cotton and sensual pink lily.

From Victoria’s Secret website:
“Fall in Sheer Love, bright and cheerful with fresh white cotton and luminous pink lily. Experience the luxury of fragrance. Refreshing formula is infused with conditioning aloe vera and calming chamomile. Spray on for a sexy touch of scent. “

For me Sheer Love just smells lovely. ‘Feminine’, ‘romantic’, ‘floral’, ‘clean’, ‘light’, ‘fresh’ and ‘soft’ are the words that I think representing Sheer Love. Neither sweet nor fruity like any other Victoria’s Secret Fantasies body sprays. For you who work in close office environment, I think Sheer Love is the fragrance that will not offend anyone.

For people who like a unique or one of a kind scent, I guess they would say that Sheer Love is totally bland, boring, and not memorable. Well, for me Sheer Love is not ‘earth shattering’ but it is still a pleasant fragrance. My only disappointment is the lasting power. After like a few minutes I can’t even smell it anymore! It just gone! Maybe I should get the matching shower gel or lotion to make the scent linger much longer.

So what do you think of Sheer Love? Have you ever tried it? Would you try it? What is your favorite Victoria’s Secret fragrance? What is your favorite scent of all the time? Tell me on the comment section below.

Haul and Review: Bath and Body Works, Skin Food, Victoria's Secret, Revlon

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoy this post

Revlon Colorburts Lipstick in Soft Nude

I haven’t found my Holy Grail nude lipstick, so I try this one. The quilted packaging reminds me of the uber popular Chanel 2.55 purse. The top lid shows you exactly the lipstick color inside, I love it. This color looks very pretty in the tube, a neutral peachy nude, but on me, I don’t know… sometimes it looks okay, sometimes it just makes my face kinda ‘green’ and somewhat ‘unhealthy’. Maybe this is not a right nude color for me. Most of the time I pair it with NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in ‘Natural’. I think the combination looks great on my skin tone. I’m continuing my search to find the perfect nude lipstick. If you have any recommendation please tell me on the comment below

Victoria’s Secret ‘Love Spell’ Fragrance Mist

Notes: Chamomile, aloe, cherry blossom, peach

The all time best selling smell from Victoria’s Secret! I purchased this product without smelling it, Adriana Lima did a great job selling this to me through one commercial video. Let me tell you, I don’t love it but I don’t hate it either. It smells fruity to me. I can smell the peach and somewhat I sense an orange too. Juicy, flirty, playful, very ‘teenage’ like because I can’t imagine older women wear it. The first spray is a little bit strong and harsh but the alcohol settles down quickly. Somewhat this product reminds me of car freshener, if you are planning to purchase this particular scent, don’t forget to smell it first.

Sillage: weak to medium, I find Victoria’s Secret Pure Seduction Refreshing Body Mist (the old packaging) is much stronger. I spray the Pure Seduction and my entire bed room smells like it.
Longevity: poor. After all you can’t expect a long lasting scent from a body spray.

Skin Food Gold Apple Hand Balm

This stuff smells amazing, a light, true scent of green apple, the texture is creamy, not to thick not too thin. It does the job moisturized my dry hand, after a few second it absorbs into my skin and leaves a soft smooth feeling! Awesome! I recommend this to everyone!

Bath and Body Works ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’

Middle Notes: coconut, vanilla, rice
Base Notes:  sandalwood, musk, vanilla, heliotrope

This one is probably my favorite Bath and Body Works scent so far. It smells exactly like vanilla and sugar, a light sweet vanilla with a sugar sprinkled on top. Very yummy, not offensive, not too powdery, and not too sweet. It just right. Usually wearing heavy vanilla scent on hot day can be unbearable (especially with The Body Shop Vanilla EDT and Burberry ‘Brit’ EDT) but I don’t have any problem with Warm Vanilla Sugar on a hot day. Try it! I think most people would love it!

Sillage: Poor
Longevity: Poor. Again…well this is body spray. I f you want long lasting fragrance, go buy Eau de Parfum or Parfum instead. Even most Eau de Toilettes don’t last long nowadays. For this particular scent I find it last longer when you spray it on clothes. Maybe I should buy the matching lotion to make this scent stays on longer.

Bath and Body Works ‘Country Chic’

Top Notes: grapefruit, pear, green notes, tagetes, amalfi lemon
Middle Notes: jasmine, African orange flower, gardenia, lily, raspberry
Base Notes: musk, patchouli, Virginia chedar, amber, peach, orchid, praline

Another blind purchase, this one smells exactly like Oriflame ‘Miss O Fashion Princess’ ( the blue bottle on the left with blue atomizer) fruity floral, not too strong, not too sweet, not too sour, not overly flowery, the difference is, Country Chic is lighter. Both Country Chic and Miss O Pashion Princess smell good, I can see this two fragrances loved by so many people, I do want to like this, but I don’t know! There is something about this two that give me a slight headache, I don’t know what, I just recommend you to smell it first before you buy it.

Sillage: Poor
Longevity: Poor

Bath and Body Works ‘Paris Amour’

Top Notes: Mandarin orange, strawberry, cassis, apple blossom, freesia
Middle Notes: Jasmine, lotus, peach, frangipani, pink tulip
Base Notes: Musk, sandalwood, amber, vanilla, coconut

I didn’t buy this one. My friend Novi did (blind purchase too) but she let me to review this product for you. Novi and me will swap a small amount of our Bath and Body Works. She can get my ‘Warm Vanilla Sugar’  and ‘Country Chic’, I get her  ‘Paris Amour’. Fair enough! swapping is a great way to try new product when you aren’t sure whether you will like it or no. We have the chance to try it to think about it before we decide to buy it.  For me Paris Amour smells wonderful! Light but sweet. The first thing I notice when I spray is strawberry, then it develops to a sweet yummy smell, like frosting! Yes frosting! Totally will purchase my own someday, plus look at the bottle! It just looks very cute on my table

Sillage: poor. The funny thing is, I use like one spray on my shirt, after a while, I decided to play with both of my dogs. They licked my shirt like crazy! Maybe they want strawberry and frosting? So cute
Longevity: poor

So do you have any question about these products? Don’t hesitate to ask me on the comment section below. Have a nice day all!

Perfume Review: Dolce and Gabbana 'Light Blue'

Recently I got really tired of deep, dark, floral oriental fragrances. Since that kind of fragrance dominate my collection, I decide that I need a fresh, light, and uplifting scent in my fragrance wardrobe. So I just got the old time favorite of mine, Dolce and Gabbana ‘Light Blue’. Now I have it back in my collection!

Top notes are apple, cedar, bellflower, and Sicilian lemon
Middle notes are white rose, bamboo, and jasmine
Base notes are amber, musk, and cedar

Plus
Light Blue is a fresh, casual, and breezy scent that perfect for hot summer days. It gives me a calm and cool feeling every single time I spray it, like a splash of spring water in my face!  For me it smells very citrusy with a hint of apple, crisp, fresh, and sharp. Decent sillage. Later it develops into this kind of dry woodsy scent, I think it is because of the cedar and musk in it.

I think this perfume can pass as a men’s cologne, it is not uber feminine, not sweet nor floral. If you tired of boring feminine floral scents or super sweet celebrity perfumes but you can’t stand heavy oriental, than this could be a perfect fragrance for you. Most people love it, even some Youtube beauty gurus claim that this is the perfume that makes guys go crazy around them! For your information my boyfriend loves this scent too J, when we sampled a fragrances in department store, he said he really like it. Yay!

Minus
The blue velvet box is nice but I don’t really like the bottle, for me it just ok, not stunning,  doesn’t make me want to display it on my vanity but the juice inside is really beautiful so I can't really complaint. Another downside, Light Blue is a very popular fragrance, this fragrance is one of the best sellers in some local department stores, plus there are tons of knock off Light Blue everywhere here,  I just smelled it on a lot of people. I hope it was less popular so this can be my signature scent. Another negative side of this perfume is the longevity! It doesn’t last long on me! I spray it then 2 hours later it is gone! Such a shame because I really love the smell L

Overall I give it 4 stars!!! It can be 5 if this perfume last longer and less popular.

L'occitane Perfume Review

L’occitane Rose des 4 Reines Eau de Toilette

From the L’occitane website Canada

“The delicate freshness of a bouquet of roses, the velvety softness of petals kissed with dew. The daughters of the Count of Forcalquier were as beautiful as the roses they cherished – the Grasse rose, the Bulgarian rose, the Moroccan rose and the Turkish rose. Each one of these daughters married a king, and so it was that Marguerite, Eléonore, Sancie and Béatrix became the four Queens of Forcalquier.”

Sounds divine right? This one belongs to my aunt, she bought it when she was in Paris, but I can’t stop admiring this fragrance. For me this floral perfume is just light and romantic, a very calming rose scent. Rose 4 Reines contains four different roses. That’s what you get when you smell this, a delicate and romantic bouquet. This perfume is perfect for feminine girls, it is soft, not overpowering, and for an eau de toilette this one has decent staying power.  On me it last around 4-5 hours.

  • Top Notes: redcurrant, violet leaves, bergamot.
  • Middle Notes: Grasse rose, Bulgarian rose, Turkish rose, Moroccan rose, apricot, & raspberry.
  • Base Notes: blackberry, white cedar, musk, heliotrope.

Price: My aunt got it for € 35.00
(I do some research and it is $ 48.00 on Canadian website, £ 33.00 on British website, and Rp 540,000 on Indonesian website).

L’occitane Rose Confite (Candied Rose) Eau de Toilette

From the box:

“A delicate and delicious winter rose. In Provence, candied fruit has been, for many years, the ultimate delicacy at festive celebrations… Some of the most desirable flowers can also tempt the taste buds and can be prepared using the same traditional method. Roses are coated in sugar syrup that crystallizes over time and turns every petal into a mouth-watering delicate delight. This limited edition Candied Rose Eau de Toilette captures the scents of this irresistible temptation in a floral heart of rose petals with sweet and fruity accents.”

Sounds yummy right? I do want to eat rose petal coated in crystallizes sugar syrup :D My aunt bought this for me, (along with her Rose 4 Reines ). This smells lovely, feminine, and vintage. I can imagine a quirky retro girl wearing this scent (examples: Zoey Deschanel and Krysten Rytter) This ‘floral-fruity- gourmand’ perfume is quite sweet and powdery, but not too much. Neither cloying nor immature. Longevity is good, last around 6 hours on me.

  • Top notes: Turkish rose essence, blackcurrant, and raspberry
  • Middle notes: Grasse rose absolute, powdered sugar accord
  • Base notes: sandalwood, musk

Price: € 35.00
( Rp 540,000 on Indonesian website )

L’occitane Cerisier des Oiseaux (Wild Cherry Tree) Eau de Toilette

So far, this is my favorite fragrance from L’ocittane, too bad it is limited edition! My sister bought it for my mother in Malaysia, but of course we both steal it sometimes ;) it's a very girly, bubbly floral-fruity, a bit powdery after it develops. Not a shy scent, noticeable and different from everything else I have smelled, but also tender and soft. I hope L’occitane brings back this fragrance to the store and make it permanent!

  • Top Notes: Amalfi lemon, black currant

  • Middle Notes: cherry blossom, tincture of rose

  • Base Notes: musk, sandalwood, Virginia cedar

Price: Sorry, I don’t really know and my sister already forget the price

Have you ever tried L'occitane perfume? What do you think about it?

Review: The Body Shop Body Butter Duo

Hi Vixens,
The last time I visited Kuala Lumpur, I had a chance to buy this new body butter duo, I was so excited to see this because I love The Body Shop body butters so much! and I believe when I make this post, the body butter duo is still not available in my country, Indonesia. The fact that I got it for 30% off just make me much happier. Who doesn’t love it when The Body Shop has discount?
Ok, so this body butter contains two separate formulas, one side contains lighter cream for normal skin areas like your hand and leg, the other side provides thicker cream for dry skin areas like your elbow and heel. Personally I’ve been using the lighter cream for day and the richer cream for night. You get the idea, day cream and night cream :D
Available in four scents, this product contains shea butter, cocoa butter, nut oil, and beeswax. I chose the vanilla scent because it is soooo yummy! Perfect pair for the Vanilla eau de toilette. The normal butter feels slightly oily when I put it on my skin, but after a few minutes this cream absorbs to my skin and leaves a beautiful sheen. The butter for the dry skin is denser and thick, ideal for my cracked heel and all over body at night time before sleep. The scent itself really do last on me for about 2-3 hours before it fades, however if you living in hot, humid, and tropical area like me, you will find the butter for dry skin is far too greasy for day use and sweet vanilla scent can be overwhelming.
I'm going to layer the butter with this perfume! the vanilla perfume on the left is very old! I have it since I was about 15 years old! the vanilla on the right is the newest one, TBS Malaysia brings back vanilla to their collection! Hooraayy!

PS: You can see my Kuala Lumpur beauty haul in here

 http://vixenlady.blogspot.com/2011/07/me-and-martinas-beauty-haul-from.html

Edit:
Finally, now Body Butter Duo available in all The Body Shop stores all over Indonesia. I'm so happy. So I restock the vanilla one because it is my favorite and I try the floral acai, it smells so pretty, fresh and feminine. I can't wait to try the macadamia and sweet pea scent.

Overall I really love this body butter, I will continue to repurchase these things and recommend it to everyone.

Me and Martina's Beauty Haul from Malaysia: Perfumes, MAC, Sephora, The Body Shop, Rimmel, etc

Hi everyone! I’m really sorry I’m not writing on this blog lately, I’ve been really busy with work, family stuff, internship preparation, and everything. But a few days ago I had a chance to take a short trip to Kuala Lumpur with my aunt and my cousin, so these are what we bought :D

Anna Sui “ Flight of Fancy “ Eau de Toilette ( RM 190 )
This one belongs to my cousin, Martina, and I’m so in love with this perfume! Especially the packaging and the bottle, so girly and adorable. The perfume itself smells so fresh and invigorating, perfect for teenager or young women ( or young at heart ;D ), this perfume is not too mature or too childish, beautiful scent for summer.

Carolina Herrera “ 212 “ Eau de Toilette ( RM 244 )
My aunt bought this for my mother. It is my mother’s favorite perfume. Smells elegant and classy.

And we got samples too :D I've been loving Calvin Klein "Euphoria" for such a long time, but I never buy it, I always chose another fragrance on the store.

And at Sephora my aunt and my cousin bought this two lipsticks and lipgloss, unfortunately we forget the price so we can’t really tell you

The Body Shop “ Dreams Unlimited “ Eau de Parfum (RM 115)

The Body Shop “ Vanilla “ Eau de Toilette ( RM 49.90 )
Finally! The Body Shop brings back my old time favorite scent! I used to wear it when I was about 15 years old, it smells sweet and yummy, like it brings back a lot of good memories.

My Favorite Perfume So Far (April 2011 Edition)

Hugo Boss ‘Femme’ Eau de Parfum

I bought this when I was 17 years old in some department store at Shanghai. This floral perfume smells so feminine, clean, fresh and smooth. Totally inoffensive and my boyfriend loves it. Hugo Boss ‘Femme’ is the kind of perfume that everyone would like. ‘Safe smell’ I would say.  Sadly I run out of it and I will not repurchase because there are other perfumes that I really want to try. The weird thing is even though this is in eau de parfum form, Hugo Boss ‘Femme’ didn’t really last long on me, perhaps just 2-3 hours.

Top notes: black currant, freesia, tangerine.
Middle notes: lily, jasmine, bulgarian rose.
Base notes: apricot, amber, lemon tree.

Calvin Klein ‘Be’ Eau de Toilette

This one is unisex fragrance. Smells quite heavy but very refreshing at the same time. My ex-boyfriend in junior high school hated it, he said Calvin Klein ‘Be’ was too strong for his liking, too masculine for girl. I still love it though.

Top notes: lavender, green notes, mint, mandarin orange, juniper, bergamot.
Middle notes: green grass, magnolia, orchid, freesia, peach, and jasmine.
Base notes: sandalwood, amber, opoponax, musk, cedar, vanilla.

Burberry ‘Brit’ Eau de Toilette

My aunt bought me this perfume when she was in Paris last year. At the first sniff, I hated this perfume! It smells very sweet and spicy, very overwhelming!  But I force myself to use it on different occasions. One night when it was raining and very cold inside my room, I decide to used it and bam! This is the perfect perfume for cold weather/fall/winter. It warms you up, very vanilla and maybe I’m wrong but I swear I smell lime in it. Burberry ‘Brit’ is my perfect ‘snuggle fragrance’.  Staying power is not so great. Maybe it just last 1-2 hours on me. If you want something more long lasting try the eau de parfum version. I heard so much good reviews about it.

Fragrance notes: peony, lime, tonka bean, green almond, vanilla, and pear ( I am right about the lime and vanilla ).

Marc Jabobs ‘Daisy’ Eau de Toilette

How cute is the bottle? A perfume lover might be bought it just because of the adorable bottle! I bought it when I was in Changi Airport Singapore, in 2009. The juice inside is ok for me, not very long lasting on me. Nothing really special except I always get compliments from men when I wear it! This is my boyfriend favorite perfume so far. He refuses to fragrance shopping with me because he wants me wear this perfume forever! Daisy is fruity floral fragrance I would say. It is sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. This is the kind of fragrance that suits spring and summer. Young, fun, and fresh.

Top notes: violet leaf, blood grapefruit, wild strawberry.
Middle notes: gardenia, violet, jasmine.
Base note: musk, white woods, vanilla

Carolina Herrera ‘212’ Eau de Toilette

My mother bought it for me when she was in Malaysia. I was maybe about 12-13 years old at that time. This perfume was too strong for me back then, so my mother uses it all up! She definitely loves it so much, it is her signature fragrance. This perfume is very elegant and sexy on her, suits her very well. Whenever I open the empty bottle I always remember about her! So Carolina Herrera is my favorite fragrance…on my mother. But a few months back me and my mother smelled this perfume on duty free store and it doesn't smell the same for us! maybe they change the formula? please tell me if you know it

Top notes: orange blossom, mandarin orange, cactus flower, bergamot.
Middle notes: white camelia, lily, gardenia, freesia, jasmine, rose
Base notes: sandalwood, musk.

Paris Hilton Eau de Parfum

It was my sister’s. She bought it when we were in Shanghai a few years ago (she bought this, I bought the Hugo Boss ‘Femme’). But after a while she didn’t like it anymore, so she gave it to me. There was a time in high school and freshmen year at college, when I really really really love this fragrance! ‘baby prostitute’ smells I dare say! But a good ‘baby prostitute’ smells :D it is very sweet and very fruity. Definitely not elegant or grown up but it is fun and flirty! sillage and lasting power are nice.

Top notes: melon, peach, apple
Middle notes: mimose, tuberose, lily, freesia, jasmine, lily of the valley.
Base notes: sandalwood, oakmoss, musk, ylang-ylang

Gucci "Guilty” Eau de Toilette

I wrote a review about this perfume on another blog post. Copy paste this link to your browser..
http://vixenlady.blogspot.com/2011/02/singapore-beauty-buys.html

Fragrance notes: mandarin orange, peach, lilac, geranium, amber, patchouli, pink pepper.

Chanel No.19 Eau de Toilette and Chanel ‘Allure’ Parfum

All this Chanel perfumes belong to my aunt. I love it when she sprays it on her and her room smells like No.19 and Allure all day long! Great sillage. I do love Chanel No.5 but I don’t plan to buy it soon, because I thought it smells very mature, elegant, and classy. Same with No.19 and Allure, I love them all but I’m not going to buy it soon. Maybe someday when I am 40 years old classy lady?

Chanel No. 19
Top notes: galbanum, hiacynth, neroli, bergamot.
Middle notes: orris, orris root, jasmine, ylang-ylang, lily of the valley, rose, narcissus.
Base notes: leather, sandalwood, musk, oakmoss, vetiver, cedar

Chanel 'Allure'
Fragrance notes: honeysuckle, passionfruit, magnolia, mandarin orange, water lily, bourbon vanilla, italian lemon, egyptian jasmine.

L’occitane ‘Wild Cherry Tree’ Eau de Toilette

This one is my mother’s, my sister bought it when she was in Malaysia but I do love to steal it sometime. I can’t describe the scent, it just so lovely and fresh. This fragrance is not like something you have smelled before, it is truly original. The lasting powers of L’occitane parfums are great. My aunt and I have others L’occitane eau de toilette and they last long on our skin all day long! Sadly this one is limited edition.

Top notes: amalfi lemon, blackcurrant.
Middle notes: cherry blossom, tincture of rose.
Base notes: musk, sandalwood, virginia cedar.

My wishlist

I really want all these perfumes! I smell them a few times in the stores and I love it!

Christian Dior ‘Miss Dior Cherie’ Eau de Parfum

I had tried the eau de toilette and it didn’t last long on me. The eau de parfum on the other hand has amazing sillage and has a great lasting power. I do like ‘Miss Dior Cherie L’eau’ and ‘Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet’ but the original Miss Dior Cherie is my first choice.

Top notes: mandarin orange.
Middle notes: jasmine, rose.
Base notes: vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli, oak moss, amber.

Chanel ‘Coco Mademoiselle’ Eau de Parfum or Parfum

Same case with Miss Dior Cherie eau de toilette, Coco Mademoiselle eau the toilette also has a very weak staying power, even worst, it is smells more ‘watery’ than the parfum or eau de parfum. So my first choice is the eau de parfum, because the parfum is very expensive T_T. Btw the commercial with Keira Knightley rides the vespa is so chic. Google it!

Top notes: orange, mandarin orange, orange blossom, bergamot.
Middle notes: mimose, jasmine, turkish rose, ylang-ylang
Base notes: tonka bean, patchouli, opoponax, vanilla, vetiver, white musk.

Narcisso Rodriguez for Her Eau de Parfum

The black bottle is the eau de toilette version. The pink bottle is the eau the parfum. So I absolutely choose the pink one. This perfume reminds me of Sarah Jessica Parker ‘Lovely’ but this Narcisso Rodriguez is better, more sophisticated and very heavenly! I love it!

Fragrance notes: coriander, egyptian musk, amber, osmanthus, vanilla, vetiver, bergamot, orange blossom

Annick Goutal ‘Eau D’Hadrien’ Eau de Parfum

This is a very fresh but elegant fragrance. Annick Goutal is a great perfumer! no doubt about it.The eau de toilette version is for both men and women. There is a difference, however, between the EDP versions for both sexes. ‘Hadrien Absolu’ is for the men while Eau d’Hadrien eau de parfum is for the ladies. Another difference is that the bottles are square for the gentlemen while the ladies will be having the oval and/or flute-shaped containers.

Fragrance notes: cypress, grapefruit, citruses, sicilian lemon.

Viktor and Rolf “Flower Bomb” Eau de Parfum

How adorable is the bottle? It is a bomb shape! The eau de toilette is not last long on me. So definitely I want the eau de parfum version.

Top notes: bergamot, tea.
Middle notes: jasmine, freesia, tincture of rose, orchid.
Base notes: musk, patchouli.

Yves Saint Laurent ‘Parisienne’ Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum

I heard a mix reviews about this perfume, some people said that this perfume is 'granny' or 'too powdery', but I did try the eau de toilette version and this perfume smells so feminine and divine plus Kate Moss on the campaign? Very Parisienne. Sadly the smell did not last long on me. In the picture above showed the eau de toilette version.

Top notes: cranberry, blackberry.
Middle notes: rose, violet, peony.
Base notes: vetiver, sandalwood, musk, patchouli.

Geez! I do like so many other perfumes and I want to have them all someday (girls can dream right?) I love CK 'Euphoria', Juicy Couture perfume, Juicy Couture 'Viva La Juicy', Vera Wang 'Princess', DKNY 'Be delicious', some of the Poison types from Dior and Victoria's Secret 'Sexy Little Things Noir'.
Also I really want to sniff Tom Ford 'Black Orchid', some of Jo Malone and Dyptique perfumes because I heard a good reviews about them. I need to remind myself to smell these perfumes on my next trip to the perfume store...sigh...I hope I never find my signature scent.
