Top 10 Colors Mostly Used By Girls 2012 May

Color or colour (see spelling differences) is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called red, green, blue, and others. Color derives from the spectrum of light (distribution of light power versus wavelength) interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors. Color categories and physical specifications of color are also associated with objects, materials, light sources, etc., based on their physical properties such as light absorption, reflection, or emission spectra. By defining a color space, colors can be identified numerically by their coordinates.

10. Earthy Browns
Natural feeling earth tones, such as greenish browns, lend a bedroom design scheme a sense of the tranquil outdoors. Natural hues can make you feel both rejuvenated and at peace, two of the most important feelings a bedroom should evoke.

9. Silvery Blue
Blue is a soothing color that is symbolic of water and fluidity. Blue is a traditional choice for a bedroom color palate, but it is easily updated when paired with a nautical white or bark brown. Silvery blues are another trendy choice which add luxury to a bedroom design plan.

8. Green
Greens, especially paired with blues, are another classic soothing hue and symbolize robust health and growth. Light greens are favorties for walls while deep emeralds work well on bedding.

7. Pinks
No longer associated only with preteen girl rooms, hot pink has a new reputation of sophistication and glamour. Warmer hot pinks paired with white accents make a bedroom seem young, happy and modern.

6. Lavender
Purples, especially pastels such as lavender, are considered soothing colors which relax the eyes and foster a sense of peace.

5. Vibrant Gold
Hollywood regency design plans call for a large dose of gold in the bedroom, from brocade on curtains, to shimmering chandeliers and satin pillows and comforters. Gilded bedrooms evoke a sense of expensive luxury and reference both current and historical trends.

4. Rose Red
The romantic bedroom has seen a meteoric rise in recent months. Rose red is an opulent, feminine choice that conveys a sense of delicate romance and timeless but never cloying charm.

3. Buttery Yellow
A soft, buttery yellow guest bedroom is cheerful and a relatively neutral alternative to white or beige. Yellows best complement rooms designed with a country or shabby chic design scheme.

2. Gray
Gray is a modern choice which gives a bedroom an ultra sophisticated tone. Known in design circles as the "new neutral," grays don't have to feel drab; rather, grays with warmer undertones are preferred and usually paired with white trim and bright accent colors.

1. Beige
Neutral tones allow you to decorate freely and frequently rotate decor without worrying whether colors will clash. Usually, when walls are kept neutral, splashes of color are still found in other areas of the room, such as bold bedding or artwork. While beige is much maligned as a boring color choice, its popularity is enduring: 4 out of 10 of the paints sold by Benjamin Moore for the bedroom are some variation of beige, buff or tan.
